Our Motto: Always Drink Good Wine™ !
I know I have not been corresponding a lot as of late. I have a good excuse - I was very busy making people happy with their wine ideas, shipping, etc.
Happy New Year to all of you, your families, friends and colleagues!
2008 was an amazing year for Golden Gate Wine Cellars. The move to our new showroom was a headache, but we are happily settled into our new space and we have made a lot of friends in the new neighborhood. My family loves our new location as I am only 5 minutes away from my home, 5 minutes away from my wife's office and 5 minutes away from Milayna's Elementary School. And the new neighborhood is very nice as well on top of that!
To recap the year:
I tasted a lot of wine, some very (outrageously) good ones, some very (awful, painful) bad ones.It is always my goal to find the very best ones for you, and I hope I succeeded with that.GGWC celebrated another anniversary that and the fact that we ended the year on a positive note (we don't owe anyone any money, and we are in positive territory) which many companies could not say for this year.
On that note, I want to THANK YOU, my loyal customers/friends, and my new ones for all the support this year. I am putting on my thinking cap as I am writing this, as to what I can do to make it even better in 2009.
Locally, we will be conducting more wine tastings, beginning with the Valentine's Day Wine Event (more about this on our site shortly).
Nationally, we will come to you showcasing what "hard-to-find" California wine country is all about, and will have the calendar up shortly as well.
In lieu of the national problem(s), I have made the "executive decision" to extend our FREE SHIPPING offer until mid January 2009.
I want to wish all of you a healthy, prosperous and spectacular 2009, and look forward to meet many of you in person. After all, I am a lucky man, one who turned his hobby into a profession, and my audience has been amazing. Thank you!
A very humbled,
Frank Melis
